Automated resolution being the ability to define a market's resolution criteria in a machine-readable way, and have Manifold follow those instructions automatically. This could look like:

• Allowing the user to input custom scripts that output YES or NO.

• Giving users a limited set of predefined resolution rules, like "this market resolves according to this Boolean formula of other market resolutions", or "Manifold will automatically input this user-defined question into Claude and resolve based on its answer."

In order for this to resolve YES, the method has to be native to Manifold. We can already use external scripts to resolve markets via the API, but that requires a third party to host the script, which does not guarantee resolution since that service could go down.

Delegating it to the Manifold mods also doesn't count; it has to be done by a computer. (AI is allowed.)
