Is there any specific interest in doing it for this game as opposed to all the other games?

@FranklinBaldo I don't see why it would be any harder than e.g. StarCraft II. Although I don't think that AI was trained on strictly bottom-up data. Certainly the controller had some intermediate layer of processing it passed through

Does the AI have to actually play the game well? Does it have to win the whole campaign?

Also this seems close to doable even now, it's more a question of whether DeepMind would care to spend the of millions of dollars needed to do so.
