Resolution Criteria

This market resolves to YES if Games Workshop officially discontinues "The Old World" product line before January 1, 2027. This includes:

• An official announcement from Games Workshop stating the discontinuation

• The complete removal of The Old World products from Games Workshop's retail offerings (including website, Made to Order models being available does not count for a NO resolution) with confirmation that no new products will be produced

The market resolves to NO if The Old World is still an active product line with ongoing support as of January 1, 2027.

Background

"The Old World" is Games Workshop's revival of the Warhammer Fantasy Battle setting, released in 2024. It represents a return to the square-based rank-and-file gameplay that was replaced by Age of Sigmar in 2015. The game features updated models and rules based on the older Warhammer Fantasy Battle system.

Currently, some factions in "The Old World" are receiving less support than others, but this does not necessarily indicate plans to discontinue the entire game line. Games Workshop has a history of evolving their product lines and intellectual properties over time, sometimes discontinuing certain games or editions to make way for new ones.
