If I get rid of my old macbook, will I regret it within 15 years?

I had a 2015 Macbook pro for a long time. Recently I bought a 2024 version and copied everything over with Time Machine. Been using the new one for about a year now and it seems fine. I have multiple backup drives. But I still worry that if I wipe and sell (realistically, throw out) the old one, I might end up needing some file that got missed in the clone. Like a game save that for some reason got stored in one of the folders that Time Machine doesn't back up.

Following up on the game save example, do feel free to apply to any other case: At what rate do you use game saves that are older than X months for X in 6, 12, 60?

Chances are the game saves won't work after the game updates

No game save file is worth the storage space an old macbook takes up. Unless you live in a palazzo

@asmith Storage space isn't an issue for me, I just don't like clutter
