Applies to the next Mario Kart game released on Nintendo Switch 2, regardless of name.
Resolutions will apply to content in the game on launch day. If an answer relies on content added to the game after that date to resolve to YES, it will resolve to NO, otherwise this market could stay open forever with game updates.
Update 2025-05-12 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): - Vehicle types are defined as transformations the vehicle undergoes automatically based on track sections (e.g., flying, underwater, or hypothetical terrain-specific forms like a sled on snow).
This does not include customizable vehicle parts selected by the player before the race.
Resolved the super obvious ones for now, going to play a couple more days to confirm these, I haven't unlocked Rainbow Road yet for one:
Every track avaialble at launch will be present in the open world map
New vehicle type
This one seems to lean NO but maybe depends on definitions:
While free roaming, players will be able to challenge other players to a race in the open world (à la Forza Horizon)
Obviously, you can 'race' someone by just driving next to them... but if this is meant to mean a specific 'challenge' feature to do so officially, I don't think that exists.
@Jubs Does vehicle type count things like transformations when a kart goes over different types of terrain, e.g, a sled if it goes over a snowy section?
@MingCat Sorry for the delay. My intent was vehicle type in the sense of transformations as you said, in the vein of MK7 introducing flying and underwater vehicle types when you enter water or race off a flying pad. I did not mean karts that you pick in customization. So your written example of say a sled over a snow section would count for YES, but the photo you posted would not. Do you have any examples of the former?
