There is a special election April 8, 2025 to fill a San Jose, California, USA City Council seat in District 3. The major candidates are:
Gabby Chavez-Lopez (labor)
Matthew Quevado (business/Mayor Matt Mahan)
Anthony Tordillos (YIMBY)
Irene Smith (fiscal hawk, community input)
If a candidate gets a majority in the election, this market will resolve 100% to that candidate. If no candidate gets a majority, then the election will go to a runoff in June. Then this market will resolve 50% each to the top two vote-getters that go to the runoff.

Tordillos is ahead of Quevado by five votes. The county will do a mandatory recount because the margin is so close.
