In 2023, the US Supreme Court banned college affirmative action programs in the case SFFA v. Harvard., programs which for several decades boosted the number of under-represented minorities at top US colleges. This question will resolve with the percentages aligned with the actual demographics data released for the class of 2028 for the 8 Ivy League colleges.

  • Update 2025-12-18 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): Due to missing data from Harvard and UPenn, and ambiguities with others (e.g. Yale), the market will resolve based on the creator's best estimations of the percentages using the limited available data.

@traders There appears to be data from all but Harvard and UPenn. Harvard does not share the percentage that is white, just the percentages of racial minorities. I cannot find any data for UPenn. Additionally, there is some ambiguity on the others: the percentage of students not sharing data at Yale, for example, jumped after the SC decision. Some multiracial students are also counted under each race, so the percentages do not add up to 100%. I have decided to resolve this based on my best estimations of the percentages based on this limited data and reopened the market. If you would prefer I N/A it, let me know.

I don’t think this is set up the way you intend. Each race will be resolved to Yes, No, or N/A (everyone gets their money back), not a specific percent.

@CharlieBauer It looks like I can select the "Choose many" option in resolve and set the specific percentages for each answer though, does that not work?

@Dismalduck I don’t really know, hopefully it works

And with the FAFSA delays, we’ll probably have to wait a couple months for the answer

bought Ṁ10 NO

@Dismalduck You can resolve each answer to a percent, no need to worry

@cc6 Thanks that's a relief
